A delegation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has arrived in Uganda to inspect stadiums and key facilities ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The CAF delegation commenced its inspection with a visit to Hoima City Stadium, assessing the facility’s readiness to host Uganda Cranes matches during the qualifying campaign.

The delegation will also inspect other stadiums and facilities that countries intending to participate in the qualifiers plan to use for their home matches.

As part of the inspection exercise in Uganda, the CAF officials are also expected to visit Kabalega International Airport to assess its readiness and suitability to support the movement of teams and officials during the qualifying fixtures.

The inspections are part of CAF’s preparations to ensure that proposed match venues and supporting infrastructure across participating countries meet the required standards for the AFCON 2027 qualifiers.
