CAF Endorsement Highlights Alansmith’s Quality Delivery at FC Ebedei Stadium

Alansmith Nigeria Limited has received strong commendation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) following an inspection of the FC Ebedei Stadium in Sagamu, further reinforcing the company’s standing as a leading sports facility construction firm in Nigeria.

The positive assessment followed a visit last week by a high-powered CAF delegation that inspected facilities at the stadium, which has been proposed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as one of the venues for the final phase of the 2026 CAF African Schools Football Championship.

The inspection team was led by CAF officials including Omar Amr (Safeguarding), Fatima Elmissaoui (ASFC Officer), Herve Dassoundo (Marketing and Branding), Mahmoud Amer (Travel and Logistics), Diabate Zakarhiya (Safety and Security), Hend Thabet (Travel and Accommodation), alongside the Executive Director of WAFU B, Philippe Tchere.

Speaking on the outcome of the visit, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Alansmith Nigeria Limited, Joshua Adamu, expressed satisfaction with the feedback from CAF, describing it as a validation of the company’s commitment to quality and excellence.

“We are delighted with the positive comments from the CAF inspection team that visited the FC Ebedei Stadium,” Adamu said. “It confirms Alansmith’s high standards in quality delivery and project execution for our clients.”

Adamu highlighted the technical specifications of the playing surface installed by Alansmith, noting that the artificial turf used at the stadium meets global standards.

“The turfs installed on the FC Ebedei pitches were tested in Europe. The specifications allow for optimal speed, ball bounce, and ankle movement for players, all of which have been tested and proven,” he explained.

He added that the stadium features a 60mm FIFA-standard artificial turf, complete with a shock pad and a French drainage system, ensuring improved ball control and rapid water evacuation during wet conditions.

The 2026 CAF African Schools Football Championship final phase is expected to be the largest since the competition was introduced in 2022, with a total of 24 teams set to participate.

The tournament will feature eight boys’ teams and eight girls’ teams from across Africa, alongside eight invited teams from another FIFA confederation.
