CAF Executive To Meet Wednesday On Playoffs, Decides AFCON 2023 Kickoff Date

Barely three days to the first leg of the playoffs round of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifier, the executive arm of the Confederation of African Football are set to meet, BSNsports.com.ng gathered

After the group round-robin at the group stage, the top 10 teams have emerged to face each other for African Five skots at the FIFA World Cup.

The ten qualified teams have been drawn to each other with the winners over both legs picking the ticket to the World Cup finals.

Ahead of the qualifier slated to start on Friday, the football body is scheduled to meet on Wednesday to discuss the modalities and logistics surrounding the games.

And apart from the Playoff matches, the executive body will also approve dates for the upcoming 2023 African cup Nations qualifier.

Draw for the preliminary rounds has been conducted and qualified teams from the preliminary will joined other nations in the group stage to compete for a place in the competition.
