CAF Executives To Meet, Take Critical Decision On 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Format

African Soccer governing body has concluded plans to have a critical meeting in Algiers, the capital of Algeria on Thursday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
CAF President, Dr. Patrice Motsepe, is expected to chair the Executive Committee meeting on Thursday, May 18, 2023, in Algiers, Algeria.
The meeting will start at 10:30 a.m. Algerian time (09:30 GMT).
The Executive Committee will discuss several issues on the agenda, including the dates and format of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, bids for the 2023 CAF Women's Champions League, and the training/development courses that will be implemented in member associations in line with CAF's commitment to developing football in Africa,†CAF wrote in its statement.
The Executive Committee will also be informed of the progress of the 45th Ordinary General Assembly and the Africa Cup of Nations Côte d'Ivoire 2023.
