CAF Launches African Clubs Association In December

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will launch the African Clubs Association (ACA) to improve the quality of African clubs, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
CAF President, Patrice Motsepe hosted the Chairmen and senior representatives of the 60 most successful and biggest Football Clubs in Africa where he announced formation of the African Clubs Association (ACA)
During the meeting, Motsepe briefed the African Club Chairmen about the formation of the African Club Association (“ACAâ€) whose objectives includes: protecting and promoting the interest of African Football Clubs,
ensuring that African Football Clubs are commercially viable, globally competitive and profitable, ensuring that Referees, Match Commissioners and VAR operators are respected, credible, independent and world-class
build partnerships with sponsors, ensuring that the private sector and Governments build stadiums that comply with CAF and FIFA standards and other football infrastructure and facilities in each of the 54 CAF Member Associations.
And develop African youth talent, academies for Boys and Girls and improve the quality of African Club football to be world class.
The President of CAF Dr. Patrice Motsepe said: “CAF is deeply committed to working together with African Football Clubs, Governments, sponsors, businesses and CAF’s 54 Member Associations to ensure that Football Clubs in Africa are commercially viable, globally competitive and profitable. We are also implementing interventions to make the quality of African Club Football appealing and attractive to football spectators and TV viewers in Africa and globally. The meeting with the Chairmen and senior representatives of the most successful and biggest Clubs in Africa was beneficial and very interactive as they made numerous important comments and suggestions to promote the interest of African Club Football. The formation of the African Clubs Association (‘’ACA’’) will significantly improve and increase the communication and cooperation between CAF and African Football Clubs. The future of African Clubs is bright.â€
CAF will host an in-person meeting with the Chairmen and Presidents of the most successful and biggest Football clubs in Africa during December this year where the African Club Association (“ACAâ€) will be launched.
The CAF Secretary General Véron Mosengo-Omba and senior CAF staff were present in the meeting and are working on preparations for the launch of the African Clubs Association (“ACAâ€) in December this year.
