CAF Lists 10 Referees For Elite Training Ahead Of Inter-Clubs Knockout Rounds

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled a list of 10 referees selected for an elite training programme ahead of the decisive knockout stages of its inter-club competitions, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The continent’s football governing body announced on Monday that the selected officials will undergo a specialised training camp in Cairo, Egypt, as part of efforts to enhance officiating standards.

The training comes as both the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup have reached the quarter-final stage, with high-stakes fixtures expected across the continent.

According to CAF, the programme is designed to fine-tune decision-making, improve physical conditioning, and ensure uniform interpretation of the Laws of the Game during the crucial knockout rounds.
