African soccer ruling body has named the host country for the inaugural edition of the U17 Women's African Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

CAF earlier in the year stated that U17 Women's AFCON will commence in 2025. The regional qualifier was held from October to December 2024 with Black Maidens winning WAFU B at the expense of Flamingos of Nigeria.

CAF on Saturday announced Tanzania as the host country for the competition.

With the rapid improvement in its infrastructure, Tanzania is gradually becoming another strong country when it comes to staging African competition.

They have been given the nod to host the 2024 Championship of African Nations alongside Kenya and Uganda.
