CAF POTY Award Nomination Thrills Moses Simon

Nigeria's Super Eagles and FC Nantes winger Moses Simon has expressed his happiness following his nominations for the African player of the year award, BSNsports.com.ng has gathered.



African soccer ruling body on Thursday included Simon's name in the 30-man list of players for the 2021 African Player of the Year gong.


The former KAA Gent winger made the list after putting up a superlative performance for Super Eagles in the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.


While reacting to his nomination, Simon thanked his Super Eagles teammates and the entire technical crew for their supports.


"Woke up to the news of my nomination for CAF Player Of The Year Award (MEN).


"This is not for me but my coaches, teammates, family and friends. To God be the glory", he said.


With the speculation going around, it's yet to be seen if Simon will remain with Nantes in the coming season.
