CAF President Motsepe Hails Acting Secretary-General Samson Adamu

Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Patrice Motsepe has praised Nigeria's Samson Adamu for his performance as the acting Secretary-General of the continental football governing body.

Adamu was appointed as CAF's acting Secretary-General following the departure of Veron Mosengo-Omba from the position, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Speaking on Wednesday during the CAF Global Conference in Johannesburg, South Africa, Motsepe commended Adamu's commitment and work ethic, describing him as a dedicated administrator.

"Samson Adamu is in Morocco. He's doing a great job and is very hardworking. I really appreciate him," Motsepe said.

Adamu, who has served CAF in several strategic administrative roles over the years, is currently overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organisation in his acting capacity while preparations continue for major continental competitions, including the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Motsepe's remarks are seen as a strong endorsement of the Nigerian football administrator, whose leadership has helped ensure continuity within CAF following the change in the Secretary-General's office.
