CAF President Nominates Pinnick For New FIFA Role

With a few months to the expiration of his tenure as the president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Melvin Pinnick has been nominated for a new FIFA role, BSNsports.com.ng gathered.


Pinnick who has served two tenures as the President of the federation a few days ago announced that he will not be contesting for a third term in office.


According to the report coming from the headquarters of the African Soccer ruling body, President Patrice Motsepe has nominated Pinnick to serve in the newly established FIFA Working Group on the normalization committee.


The duties of the group are to analyse the applicable legal framework and governance structures, their mission and their mandate to propose to the FIFA council.


The terms and tenure of the position are not stated but the Nigeria football supremo will be representing the continent in the newly formed group.
