CAF Refs' Committee Retains Nigerian Ref For U17 AFCON Duties

Nigerian FIFA barged Referee Kasim Abdulsalam, has been selected amongst the invited referees at the ongoing U17 African Cup of Nations tournament in Algieria to officiate till the finals of the tournament, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.
Out of the 14 referees that were invited, 8 referees were issued their return tickets back to their respective countries by CAF Referees' Committee.
Because of Kasim's performance at the tournament, the Nigerian ambassador is receiving accolades and commendations from members of the CAF Referees' Committee; hence his been retained in the competition.
The young lad who has officiated four matches in the tournament is full of confidence and expectations.
"It was indeed a thing of joy, great opportunity, and a huge experience to me; from the pre-selection list during our course that proceeded to the tournament and the tournaments proper. Even though some of my colleagues have gotten their return tickets after the groups and quarter-finals stages. To God be the glory that I'm still part of the Referees that will officiate in the semi-finals" Kasim Abdulsalam exclaimed.
