The Nigeria U-15 Secondary School team is expected to arrive at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Friday following their participation in the qualifiers for the 2025 CAF Secondary School Championship in Ouagadougou, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The contingent will depart the Burkinabé capital aboard Côte d’Ivoire Airlines, returning home a day after the conclusion of the regional qualifying tournament.

Despite a spirited effort, the Nigeria U-15 boys, led by Coach Seun Oyeniyi, were unable to advance beyond the group stage. They finished with three points level with the two teams that progressed to the semifinals but fell short due to goal difference.

Nigeria opened their campaign with a 1–4 loss to Côte d’Ivoire on Monday before securing a 1–0 win over Benin Republic. However, the heavy defeat in their first match ultimately proved decisive in their elimination.

The squad had undergone a 13-day preparation camp in Abuja prior to the competition, but their defensive lapses against Côte d’Ivoire were widely acknowledged as the key factor in their exit.
