The current Secretary General of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Véron Omba, is expected in Kinshasa this Tuesday to formally submit his candidacy for the presidency of the Congolese Football Federation (FECOFA), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Omba’s anticipated declaration is already generating significant attention within Congolese football circles, with observers suggesting his entry into the race could dramatically reshape the contest for the federation’s top seat.

A seasoned football administrator, Omba has served in various capacities within African football before rising to the influential position of CAF Secretary General. 

His potential bid for the FECOFA presidency is seen as a major development, given his continental experience and administrative pedigree.
