CAF Set To Rename Super League

The commencement of the proposed Super League in Africa this year remained uncertain as the African soccer ruling body is set to make some changes to the competition, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Eight teams including Nigeria Champions, Enyimba International have been picked to start the tournament in August this year.

CAF has also opened a discussion with a Saudi Arabia firm to Backroll this year's edition of the competition.

According to the update coming from the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, they are pondering changing the name from Super League to another agreed name.

They said the reason is that some of the sponsors say the European Super League’s background name will affect it.

The consultations are still ongoing as the competition will now take place in October.
