CAF Set To Unveil New Champions League Trophy

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has finalized plans to unveil a brand-new trophy for the prestigious CAF Champions League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

This initiative is part of the campaign promises made by the CAF President during his re-election bid. An official update from CAF’s headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, confirms that the new trophy will be launched on May 22, 2025.

The unveiling ceremony will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa, during the first leg of the Champions League final between Mamelodi Sundowns and Egypt's FC Pyramid.

With this change, Al Ahly of Egypt will go down in history as the last club to lift the outgoing version of the trophy.
