The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that the Flying Eagles will return to Abuja to round up their preparations for the U20 African Cup of Nations before they fly out to Egypt for the finals, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

NFF president, Ibrahim Gusau made this known to reporters when he visited the Flying Eagles in their training camp in Katsina.

The U20 AFCON will be hosted by Egypt for the second straight time after Cote d’Ivoire pulled out as hosts.

The African age grade tournament commences 27th April and ends 18th May, 2025.

The Flying Eagles are drawn in a tough-looking first round group that has hosts Egypt, Morocco and South Africa with only the semifinalists guaranteed ticket to the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile.

Senegal are the defending champions.
