Action will resume on Thursday in group B of the ongoing CAF Women's Champions League presently going on in Morocco and all eyes will be on Nigeria's representative Bayelsa Queens, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Despite being the champions of Nigeria and the WAFU B region, Bayelsa Queens started their campaign in Morocco on a shaky note, losing the opening group match by 2-1 to defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Women.

The defeat dropped them to the third position on the table ahead of the second group match against another debutant TP Mazembe.

The Congolese side on their part secured a hard-fought win over the Egyptian side Wadi Degla with a lone strike through Kajinga in the 7th minute.

The Nigerian side will have their hands full on Thursday when they confront the Congolese who will be hoping to consolidate on their opening day victory.

The biggest miss for Mazembe ladies will be one of their key defenders Justine Bousou who has been ruled out this game.

The central defender was sent off in the later part of the match against Wadi Degla for a dangerous play.

The African soccer ruling body has ruled her out of the game slated for 8 pm Nigeria time on Thursday.

Bayelsa Queens need a win to resuscitate their fading hope while a draw will brighten the chances of Mazembe reaching the semi-final.
