CAF Women Champions League: Nigeria Beat Deadline, As Region Name Host For Qualifier

Nigeria Football Federation has succeeded in beating the deadline stipulated by the Confederation of African Football to each member association to submit the name of the club that will represent them in the next edition of the Women Champions league, BSNsports.com.ng report.


The competition started last season and it was Rivers Angels that represented Nigeria and Mamelodi Sundown of South Africa emerged the winners.


Bayelsa Queens qualified to represent Nigeria in the regional qualifier after they emerged victorious in the just concluded Super 6 that was played in Benin City, Edo State.


African soccer ruling body directed that each member association must submit their representative on or before May 29th.


Meanwhile, Morocco has been announced as the host country for UNAF teams which includes Afak Relizane ( Algeria), Wadi Deglia ( Egypt), Housing Bank ( Tunisia) and ASFAR ( Morocco).


Tanzania will stage qualifier for the CECAFA team while Liberia will host WAFU A teams.


WAFU B, UNIFFAC and COSAFA are yet to determine their host country.
