CAF Women's Champions League: Anjor Mary Of Bayelsa Queens Makes Team Of The Group Stage


Ahead of the semi-final matches of the Women's champions league, the African soccer ruling body has released the Best XI performing players in the group stage of the competition, BSNSports.com.ng report.

Apart from the regional qualifiers, 8 teams started the competition finals in Morocco but only four teams progressed to semifinals.

Host AS FAR of Morocco dominated the team released by CAF with 5 players, followed by Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies who have three players.

The trio of Bayelsa Queens, TP Mazembe Ladies and Simba Queens have one player each to complete the team.

Anjor Mary-Magdalene was the only player from the Nigeria team that made the cut.

Mary scored Bayelsa Queens' only goal against Sundowns in the opening group game with the South African winning 2-1.

Action will resume on Wednesday with semi-final games involving the four remaining teams.

Winners of the Semifinal clashes will advance to the final of the competition.
