CAF Women's Champions League: Chairman Urges Sundown's Ladies To Go For Victory
With five days to the start of the 2022 Women's CAF champions league, the chairman of Mamelodi Sundown Tlhopie Motsepe has urged the team to go all out and defend the title again, BSNSpprts.com.ng report.
Sundowns won the maiden edition of the competition in Egypt in 2021 and the team are poised for the second title scheduled to commence on October 31st.
“You are going to Morocco to defend your title as ‘Champions of Africa’, so you must be prepared to give your best to live up to that tag.
Every team will be gunning for the prestigious trophy and the accolades that come with being champions.
"Therefore, you have to fight together to retain this title which you worked very hard for last year.
"Remember when you left for Egypt last year, you represented the entire nation and even the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region with so much class.
Nothing has changed and the entire country will be cheering you to succeed again as you go,†the Chairman stated.
Sundowns Ladies will begin the defence of their continental title on the 31st of October 2022 with a massive clash against Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens.
