CAF Women Champions League: TP Mazembe Wins UNIFFAC Regional Qualifier, Join Bayelsa Queens In Group B

TP Mazembe Ladies from DR Congo have completed the eight teams that will take part in the 2022 CAF Women's champions league in Morocco, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

Seven teams were drawn into two groups last month while group B awaits the UNIFFAC champions to complete the four teams that supposed to lock horns for knockout stage.

Already, WAFU B champions Bayelsa Queens, Wadi Degla of Egypt and the defending champions Mamelodi Sundown Ladies of South Africa have been placed in the group.

TP Mazembe secured the final spot on Friday evening after they defeated AWA FC of Cameroon 2-1 in the final.

The Congolese side netted the opening goal in the 32nd minute before AWA equalised in the 80th minute through Farida Machia.

Marveille Kajinga netted the winning goal in the 87th minute and handed Mazembe the qualification ticket.
