CAF Womens Champions League Draw Holds Without Nigerian Club

For the first time since the start of the competition, the main draw for the CAF Women's Champions League will take place without Nigeria's club, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Rivers Angels represented Nigeria in the maiden edition before handing over the baton to Bayelsa Queens last season.

Delta Queens won the Nigeria Women's Football League this year to represent the country in the play but failed to qualify for the competition proper.

Despite hosting the competition Delta Queens suffered a 1-0 defeat in the final to Ampem Darkoa of Ghana.

The draw for the competition proper has been fixed for Monday 9th October in Abidjan Coted'Ivoire the host country.
