CAFCC: ASEC Mimosa Intensify Preparations For Rivers United Clash
Sampson Adedeji
The game between Nigeria champions Rivers United and Ivorian ASEC Mimosa is one of the biggest clashes in the CAF Confederation Cup match day 2, BSNSports.com.ng report.
The Nigerian side lost its opening game heavily to Diables Noirs of Congo and ASEC was unable to defeat Motema Pembe of DR Congo in Abidjan last weekend.
The results of Matchday one made the second group game a must-win for both teams.
The Ivorian side arrived in Nigeria on Thursday and had their first training at the Goodwill Akpabio Stadium training pitch on Friday.
They intensified their preparation on Saturday morning as they continue to believe that they can beat Rivers United in Nigeria.
The game is slated for the Goodwill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo after Adoke Amasiamaka in Port-Harcourt failed to get the CAF approval.
