CAFCC: ASEC Mimosa Pip Rivers United in Yamosoukro

Nigeria's Rivers United dropped to the second spot in group B of the CAF Confederation Cup after their defeat to the Ivorian champions ASEC Mimosa, BSNSports.com.ng report.
The host seized control of the game right from the kickoff as they scored early through Mofesse Karidoula in the 2nd minute.
The Pride of River tried to fight back in the first stanza but found it extremely difficult to break the backline of the host.
The Nigerian side won the first leg convincingly by 3-0 but found the second leg hard to come by.
The second half resumed with Rivers United trying to level the game but missed several scoring chances.
The result means ASEC Mimosa topped the group with 12 points and Rivers United which started the day on top of the group dropped to the second position.
Both sides await their quarter-final opponents as the draw take place on Wednesday in Cairo, Egypt.
