Barely 3 weeks to the start of the 2024 CAF Confederation Cup, all is not well in the camp of the defending champions Zamalek of Egypt, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Egyptian giant has been placed in the same group with the Nigeria Premier Football League side Enyimba International.

According to the update from the North African country, FIFA imposes transfer ban on Zamalek due to unpaid debts to former coach, Jaime Pacheco.

Pacheco filed a complaint for unpaid salary, including a release clause and compensation for the remainder of his contract after getting sacked from his role at Zamalek in March 2021.

Zamalek must pay $819K to Pacheco.
