CAFCC: Ideye Emphasizes The Importance Of Defeating Zamalek
Sampson Adedeji
Ahead of their crucial final group-stage match, Enyimba striker Brown Ideye stressed the significance of beating Egypt's Zamalek, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Enyimba's hopes in the CAF Confederation Cup hang by a thread following their disappointing draw against Al Masry in the fifth round of the competition.
The draw means that the Nigerian side must secure all three points in their final group match against Zamalek, scheduled for next weekend in Cairo.
“It’s a must-win match for us,” said Ideye.
“Zamalek are a strong team, but we are determined to secure the maximum points.”
“They’ve already qualified for the next round and might rest some key players,” he continued.
“The chairman (Nwankwo Kanu) has spoken to us, and I believe it’s still possible to win this match.”
