Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah has expressed confidence that the Porcupine Warriors will seal qualification for the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup when they face Kwara United in Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Kotoko claimed a narrow 4-3 victory over the Nigerian side on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium, giving them a slight advantage ahead of the second leg.

Speaking after the match, Amoah, who scored twice, admitted that defensive lapses cost them goals but maintained that the team remains focused on completing the job away from home.

“I think we played very well; we wanted to score more goals, and we got them, but we also made a few mistakes at the back,” Amoah said.

“We conceded three goals, but we’re not giving up. We’re going to Nigeria to qualify.”

The decisive return fixture is scheduled for Sunday, September 28, at the M.K.O. Abiola International Stadium in Abuja.

The winner of the tie will advance to face Morocco’s Wydad Athletic Club in the next stage of the preliminary round.
