CAFCC: Kwara United Secure Away Draw, Confronts RS Berkane

The second Nigeria representative in the CAF Confederation Cup Kwara United lived up to expectations as they scaled the hurdles in Niamey, BSNSports.com.ng understands.

The Afonja Warriors set the pace last Sunday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena by beating the Nigerien side AS Douanes 3-0.

The duo of Wasiu Jimoh and Paul Samson was responsible for both goals.

Kwara United has to endure a torrid time in Niger as they were pressurized with a series of African superstitions and black magic 'juju'.

The game started with the home side trying to control the game but Kwara United players actual took their time and they were able to see out the first half in a goalless draw.

The Nigerian side grew into the game in the second half and was able to create one or two chances as the Douanes team regained control of the game.

Kwara United's goalkeeper Adewale Adeyinka was the saving grace for the team in the game and especially towards the end of the game as his last-minute efforts ensured that the 

the game ended goalless.

The result means that Kwara United has qualified for the next round 3-0 on aggregate and will face defending champions RS Berkane in the next round.
