Nigeria's representative in the CAF Confederation Cup Kwara United proved too much for the opponent AS Douanes of Niger in the game played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Wasiu Jimoh was the cynosure of all eyes in the game as he scored twice in the 3-0 win over the Nigerien club.

Paul Samson netted the opening goal in the 5th minute to show the dominance of the host from the blast of the whistle.

John continued to penetrate the backline of Douanes and his efforts were rewarded as he made 2-0 in the 17th minute of the encounter.

The former Shooting Stars winger completed his brace in the 41st of the game and secured a comfortable lead for the Afonja warriors going into the break.

The second half proved difficult for the host as the Nigeriens came to defend and fought hard to nullify all the attacking threats of the Nigeria side.

The Nigeriens will host the second leg in Niamey next weekend and will require four goals advantage to progress at the expense of Kwara United.
