CAFCC: Oyowah Fires Rivers United To Group Stage

Nigeria's representative in the CAF Confederation Cup, Rivers United have reached the group stage of the competition for the second consecutive year, BSNSpprts.com.ng reports

The Pride of Rivers confronted Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso in the second leg of the competition on Sunday and secured a narrow 2-0 win.

The first leg played at the Yamoussoukro Stadium in Abidjan two weeks ago ended goalless draw 

Playing at the Adoke Amasiamaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers United had to rely on the last-minute brace from Alex Oyowah to secure a 2-0 victory.

The Nigerian side won the tie 2-0 on aggregate and qualified for the group stage of the tournament.
