CAFCC: Peseiro Sends Congratulatory Message To Rivers United

Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has joined the millions of football followers in congratulating Rivers United for reaching the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Pride of Rivers on Sunday qualified for the group stage of the competition following their 2-0 victory over Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso in the second leg.

Alex Oyowah was responsible for both goals that ensured the passage to the next round.

The Portuguese gaffer via his social media hailed the Nigeria Premier Football League side for their exploits.

" Congratulations to Rivers United on making it to the CAF Confederation Cup group stage. Best of luck in the competition!", he said.

Just like last season, Rivers United was the only club in Nigeria that made it to the group stage of the competition.
