CAFCC: Red-Hot Nwagua Reveals Reason For Rivers United Good Performance

In-form attacker of Rivers United Nyima Nwagua has revealed the reasons the team is playing well in this year Confederation Cup, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The Pride of Rivers on Sunday zoomed into the quarter-final of the competition with a game to spare after they played a 2-2 draw against Diable Noirs of Congo.

Nwagua was one of the goal-scorers on the day and his goal on Wednesday also ensured a 1-0 win over Rangers in a rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League match.

The strong attacker said the ongoing season of NPFL is responsible for their good outing in the continent.

"I will say its a very good one, as we've not had this kind of experience before but with the way things are going the fans can actually testify that now that our league is on we are doing well in the continent.

When our league is on break you see us struggling in the continent, owing to poor fitness despite that we have a tight schedule and it feels very good", he stated.
