CAFCC: Rivers United, Plateau United To Know Group Stage Foes On November 16th If...

Nigeria's representatives in the CAF Confederation Cup Rivers United and Plateau United will know their group opponents later this month if they qualify from the playoffs round, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Both Nigerian sides dropped to the Confederation Cup after they lost out to Wydad Casablanca of Morocco and Esperance Of Tunisia in the final qualifying rounds of the Champions League.

The football body in the early hours of Wednesday announced the date for draws of both the Champions League and the Confederation Cup group stages.

According to the update from the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt the draws will come up on the 16th of November in Cairo.

Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Zamalek (Egypt) JS Kabylie (Algeria) Petro Atlético (Angola), Shabab Belouizdad (Algeria), Wydad Casablanca (Morocco) El Merrick (Sudan) Raja Casablanca (Morocco ) Al Ahly (Egypt) Esperance Sportive (Tunisia) Fibers (Uganda), Cotton Sports ( Cameroon) Horoya ( Guinea) Simba SC (Tanzania ) Al Hilal ( Sudan) and Vita Club ( Congo) are the qualified teams for champions league.

The list of the qualified clubs for the CAF Confederation Cup group stage will be determined on November 9, after the second leg matches of the playoffs round.
