CAFCC: Rivers United Face Uphill Task In Today's Quarterfinal Clash With Young African
By Gbenga Gboyega
Rivers United faces an uphill task in Tanzania, following a two-goal deficit from the first leg in Nigeria, as the Nigeria representatives touched down safely in Dar es Salaam.
The team arrived at the Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania around 3 am according to a tweet by the media department, with high hopes of turning the tide in their favour.
Recall that BSNSports.com.ng reported on the head coach, Stanley Eguma's reaction to the first leg loss, on missing key players and the unfavourable weather conditions.
But the full team was captured at the arrival tunnel, in preparation for the make-or-mar return fixture, with the media team captioning their last tweet on route to departure with a motivation for fans to hold on to.
"It is very important we stick together."

The first leg ended with Rivers failing to hit a single shot on target despite 13 attempts, which would be Stanley Eguma's focal point for improvement in tomorrow's tie. Rivers United need to score three goals without conceding any before they can progress to semi-final of the tournament.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 6 pm Nigerian time on Sunday, 30th of April, 2023 at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
