CAFCC: We Must Address Underlying Issues - El-Kanemi Warriors Coach

The technical adviser of the newly promoted side El-Kanemi Warriors Aliyu Zubairu has urged the Nigeria Premier Football League organiser to address underlying issues threatening the league, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

While speaking to the media in Ilorin, the coach frowned at a situation where only one venue got the nod of the African soccer governing body to host the upcoming Inter-Club competitions.

The Warriors will be participating in the Confederation Cup alongside Enyimba International and the venue of their preliminary round is not certain.

It is disconcerting that only a solitary stadium meets CAF’s standards for Champions League fixtures.

“This serves as a poignant indication of underlying issues that we must address.”

The Nigerian side has been drawn to face Dadje FC of Benin in the preliminary round.
