Actions resumes today across Africa in the playoff round of the CAF Confederation Cup and two Nigeria teams are among the clubs looking for a spot in the group stage, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

All eyes will be on the Nigeria Professional Football League champions Rivers United when they face Al Nasr of Libya at the famous Adokiye Amasiamaka Stadium.

The Pride of Rivers had to settle for the second-tier competition after they crashed out from the Champions League following their loss to Moroccan giant Wydad Casablanca, 7-2 on aggregate.

Plateau United finished second in the 2021/2022 Nigeria league season, but could not reach the group stage of the Champions League after the controversial loss to the former champions Esperance of Tunisia 2-1 over the two legs.

The Jos-based club will face Al Khadar of Libya at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

Both Nigeria sides will be playing their first leg at home on Wednesday before travelling to Libya next week for the reverse fixture.

The winner over the two legs will move straight to the group stage of the competition.
