CAFCL: "We Were The Better Side" – Power Dynamos Coach

Power Dynamos head coach, Oswald Mutapa, has maintained that his side deserved their victory over Nigeria’s Rivers United in the CAF Champions League clash in Uyo, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Zambian champions secured a crucial 1-0 away win on Sunday in their Matchday 4 Group fixture, dealing a major blow to Rivers United’s hopes of progressing to the knockout stage of the competition.

Speaking after the encounter, Mutapa praised the character and resilience of his players, insisting that Power Dynamos were the superior side over the course of the game.

“We knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game, but we were prepared to fight for victory".

"We controlled the game when we had the ball, but the last 15 minutes were more difficult. We are happy with the result,” Mutapa said.

The victory strengthens Power Dynamos’ position in the group standings, while Rivers United now face an uphill task in their remaining fixtures as they battle to keep their CAF Champions League campaign alive.
