Former Shooting Stars striker Sunday Adetunji was the hero on Friday, scoring twice to help Sudanese champions Al Hilal Omdurman seal their place in the CAF Champions League group stage with a 3-1 second-leg win over Kenya Police in Benghazi, Libya, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Having claimed a 1-0 win in the first leg in Nairobi, Hilal wrapped up a 4-1 aggregate victory at the Benina Martyrs Stadium to progress comfortably.

Despite being forced to play away from home due to the ongoing conflict in Sudan, Hilal enjoyed strong support in their adopted ground in Libya.

Kenya Police put up a spirited fight, but Adetunji’s clinical finishing and the team’s superior set-piece execution proved decisive as the Sudanese giants booked their spot among Africa’s elite.
