CAFCL: FC Pyramids Manager Expects Difficult Game Against Rivers United

FC Pyramids head coach Krunoslav Jurčić has admitted that his side is anticipating a tough encounter when they face Rivers United in their opening CAF Champions League Group stage match, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The defending African champions will host the Nigerian side in Cairo this weekend, and Jurčić believes the contest will be highly competitive.

“Pyramids FC have succeeded in reaching the top, and we are currently the best team in Africa. Everyone knows that getting to the top is difficult, but staying there is much more difficult,” Jurčić said.

“That is why we face a tough task to remain at the summit this season. Our goal is always to win every match and compete for every trophy.”

Jurčić added that Rivers United is a formidable opponent and will not be underestimated as the Egyptians aim to begin their campaign on a strong note.

The clash is expected to draw huge attention as both sides look to make early statements in the Champions League group stage.
