Former African champions Esperance of Tunisia have qualified for the quarter-final of this year champions league in style as they progressed without a defeat, BSNsports.com.ng understand.

They defeated CR Belouzided 2-1 in Tunis on Saturday afternoon and Nigeria's Super Eagles winger Anayo Iwuala was the hero.

Mrezigue gave the away side the lead in the 2nd minute of the game but goal from Bougrine made it 1-1 for the host.

Enterprising winger Iwuala capped his amazing performance with a winning goal in the 17th minute and ensured that Espearance topped the table

Esperance led the group with 14 points in 6 matches and they were followed by CR Beliouzidad with 11 points from the same number of games
