CAFCL: Mbaoma Hopeful Of Enyimba Victory Over Al Ahly Benghazi In Aba

Enyimba International forward Chijoke Mbaoma has revealed that he is hopeful and being optimism that the NPFL champions will get the job done against Libyan side Al Ahly Benghazi in Aba, ahead of the second leg in the CAF Champions League preliminary round.

The People's Elephants suffered a narrow 4-3 loss to Al Ahly Benghazi in the first leg encounter with the Finidi George-led side having scored three away goals. 

While speaking in an exclusive interview with BSNSports.com.ng, ahead of the encounter, Mbaoma expressed that the team needs the support of the fans to get over the line on Sunday.

“We are not satisfied, but we have to be satisfied with ourselves and look forward to the next step,” said Mbaoma.

“They played and won at home. Now is the time for us to play with our fans and show them what we can do too”, he concludes.

Enyimba International must produce an improved performance and result in the second leg, on Sunday, at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, to keep their CAF Champions League campaign alive.
