Remo Stars followed the Nigeria Premier League champions Enyimba International out of the CAF Champions League as they lost out to Medeama SC of Ghana, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Sky Blues Boys lost narrowly to the Ghana Premier League champion last weekend at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The second leg match played at the Remo Stars stadium in Ikenne witnessed fireworks from the home side but the away team was able to hold their ground in the opening minutes.

Despite the pressing, Remo Stars found it extremely hard to break down the defense of the Ghanaian champion as the first half ended in a stalemate.

The second half commenced with the host still in full control of the game and put the away side on the back foot.

The only goal of the game came in the 73rd minute through an own goal and the stadium erupted for joy but Remo Star failed to seal the game as it ended in 1-0 and 1-1 on aggregate.

They went straight into penalty shoot and the host missed 3 penalty kicks as the game ended 3-2 in favor of Medeama SC.
