CAFCL: Mohammed V Stadium Set to Beat Goodswill Akpabio Stadium To Stage Final

Despite meeting the set requirement to host the final of the CAF inter-club competitions, the hope of Nigeria's Goodswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo seems to have been dashed according to report, BSNsports.com.ng understand.


The Uyo based stadium was among the 5 stadiums that applied to stage the final of this champions league as it will be a one-legged affair.


The CAF inspection team was in Nigeria a few weeks ago to inspect the venue just like the way they did to all other venues.


But according to an update coming from the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, Rabat based Mohammed V stadium look to have been given the nod to stage the final.


If it happens, it will make it the second consecutive time the final will be staged at the venue.
