Nigerian referee Joseph Odey Ogabor has been appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to officiate the CAF Champions League preliminary round first-leg encounter between Medeama SC and TP Mazembe, BSNSports.com.ng reports. ‎ ‎

The match is scheduled to take place on September 6, 2026, at the TNA Stadium in Tarkwa, Ghana, with kick-off set for 15:00 GMT. ‎ ‎

Ogabor will be assisted by compatriots Tejiri Besmart Digbori and Ahmad Tijjani Mustapha, while Salisu Basheer has been named as the fourth official. ‎ ‎

Gambian Bakary K. Jammeh will serve as the Match Commissioner, with Ivorian Sinko Zeli appointed as the Referee Assessor. ‎ ‎

The fixture will be Medeama’s first competitive outing of the new season, with the reigning Ghana Premier League champions aiming to secure a positive result at home against experienced Congolese opponents TP Mazembe. ‎ ‎
