Nigerian champions, Rangers International of Enugu have secured a slim win in the first leg of the CAF Champions League 2nd preliminary round against Sagranca Esperanca, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Flying Antelopes defeated US Zilimadjou of Comoros to reach the Second Round of the competition.

Playing at their adopted home in Uyo, the hosts, dominated the game from the proceedings but were unable to breakdown the backline of the away side.

The second half resumed the same way the first stanza ended and coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has to make necessary changes to peg back the attack line of the Angolans who has grew into the game.

Substitute Kazeem Ogunleye broke the deadlock in the 77th minute to grant the Nigerian side a maximum victory in the game.

Rangers will travel to Angola to face the Esperanca in the second leg and winner on the aggregate scoreline progress into the next round.
