Moroccan giants RS Berkane have been hit by a major injury setback ahead of their CAF Champions League clash with Rivers United, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Despite securing an emphatic 3-0 victory over Power Dynamos in their opening group match, the win came at a heavy price, with three key players ruled out due to injuries sustained during the encounter.

The affected players include Ousamma Lamlioui, Mohamed El Mourabit and Youssef Mehri. 

The injuries have thrown Berkane’s camp into concern, especially with a crucial fixture against Nigerian representatives Rivers United scheduled for later this week.

The absence of the influential trio is expected to have a significant impact on the team’s setup as they eye another continental triumph.
