2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League champions, Rangers International has progressed to the second preliminary round of the 2024/2025 CAF Champions League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Flying Antelopes got the better of Comoros Island champions, U.S Zilimadjou 2-1 on aggregate in a two-legged encounter decided at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo. A 22nd-minute header by Uwumiro Frank from a well-treaded corner kick by Agu Kenechukwu turned out to be the winning goal for Rangers in the first leg. Meanwhile, the return leg ended a goal apiece. Kenechukwu Agu had converted from the spot to put the Flying Antelopes in front after Ekeson Okorie was brought down inside the Zilimadjou box before the visitors pulled the equalizer.
