CAFCL: Rivers United, Black Bulls Tie Postponed
Sampson Adedeji
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the rescheduling of Rivers United’s CAF Champions League second leg clash against Black Bulls of Mozambique, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Initially slated for Sunday, October 26, 2025, the decisive encounter will now take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 4 pm, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
The change in date was officially communicated to both clubs, with CAF citing administrative adjustments in the competition’s fixture calendar.
Rivers United, who lost the first leg 1-0 in Maputo, face a tough task as they look to overturn the deficit and advance to the group stage of Africa’s premier club competition.
The Pride of Rivers will need to score at least two goals without conceding to progress, while Black Bulls require just a draw or a scoring defeat to seal their qualification.
The Nigerian side is expected to intensify preparations ahead of the crucial tie, as coach Evans Ogenyi and his players aim to keep their Champions League dream alive.
