CAFCL: Rivers United Handed A Tough Draw

Nigeria’s representative, Rivers United, have been handed a tough group in the 2025/2026 CAF Champions League following the official draw conducted on Monday in Johannesburg, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Pride of Rivers sealed their qualification for the group stage after overcoming Mozambique’s Black Bulls 3-2 on aggregate in the final qualifying round.
Rivers United have been placed in Group A, where they will face formidable opponents Morocco’s RS Berkane, Zambia’s Power Dynamos, and the defending champions, Pyramid FC of Egypt.
The Nigerian side will need to be at their very best to advance from what appears to be one of the toughest groups in this year’s competition, given the pedigree and recent performances of their rivals.
