After suffering a humiliating defeat in Morocco, Nigeria's representative in the CAF Champions League, Rivers United have returned to Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng report.

Despite winning the first leg 2-1 at the Adokie Amasiamaka stadium the 'Pride of Rivers' failed to defend the first leg victory.

Wydad Casablanca proved their superiority over the Nigeria side by scoring 6 unreplied goals to advance 7-2 on aggregate.

The Nigeria champions landed at the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos at about 4:05 am in the early hours of Tuesday and they expected to proceed to Port-Harcourt and await their Confederation Cup opponent.
